StreszczenieW pracy zaprezentowano przypadki pięciorga pacjentów, u których doszło do powikłań po zabiegach medycyny estetycznej. Cztery z nich dotyczyły kobiet, które zgłosiły się do Zakładu Medycyny Sądowej Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Łodzi celem opisania i kwalifikacji prawno-karnej doznanych w wyniku przeprowadzonych zabiegów uszkodzeń ciała, natomiast jeden związany był z oceną prawidłowości postępowania medycznego na zlecenie prowadzącej sprawę prokuratury. Opisane przypadki dotyczyły zabiegów złuszczania naskórka z użyciem kwasów, fotoepilacji i krioterapii. Autorzy podjęli próbę omówienia najczęstszych powikłań, do jakich może dojść po zabiegach medycyny estetycznej, i sposobu ich uniknięcia.Słowa kluczowe: błąd medyczny, powikłanie, medycyna estetyczna, obdukcja sądowo-lekarska, ocena prawidłowości postępowania medycznego. AbstractThe paper presents the cases of five patients who developed complications after aesthetic medicine procedures. Four of the cases involved women who reported to the Department of Forensic Medicine, Medical University of Lodz, for a description and legal qualification of bodily injuries suffered as a result of aesthetic medicine procedures, whereas one was related to the assessment of accuracy of medical management at the request of the prosecutor handling the case. The reported cases concerned acid exfoliation treatments, photoepilation and cryotherapy. The authors attempt to discuss the most common complications that may occur after aesthetic medicine procedures, and measures to avoid them.Key words: medical malpractice, complication, esthetic medicine, forensic medical examination, assessment of medical management correctness. Human as the Ultimate Wound Healing Model: Strategies for Studies Investigating the Dermal Lipidome

Purpose of Review Educate the reader of the multiple roles undertaken by the human epidermal lipidome and the experimental techniques of measuring them. Recent Findings Damage to skin elicits a wound healing process that is capped by the recreation of the lipid barrier. In addition to barrier function, lipids also undertake an active signaling role during wound healing. Achievement of these multiple functions necessitates a significant complexity and diversity in the lipidome resulting in a composition that is unique to the human skin. As such, any attempts to delineate the function of the lipidome during the wound healing process in humans need to be addressed via studies undertaken in humans. Summary The human cutaneous lipidome is unique and play a functionally significant role in maintaining barrier and regulating wound healing. Modern mass spectrometry and Raman spectroscopy based methods enable the investigation epidermal lipidome with respect to those functions.
