The existence of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) weapons poses a significant problem in terms of possible proliferation of technologies and materials, despite international agreements and regulations. The role of military forces in operations can be to support counter-proliferation initiatives to prevent their acquisition, deployment, or employment. The article analyzes the current situation in the field of site exploitation under CBRN environments, with a specific focus on biological threats. It describes a current state and a research question, which is addressed on the basis of scenario analysis methodology. The result is a scenario for the activities of troops in CBRN environments, which illustrates the possible operational reality during the localization of biological sites, their characterization and exploitation. The following application part presents proposals for the division of phases of the exploitation process and a proposal for the determination of CBRN and medical specialists of the Czech Armed Forces as the implementation elements.

This article deals with the issue of combat unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). The authors describe and analyse the current state of the issue. In the light of technological progress, the ambitions of selected states, and future trends, the authors define the needs for successfully implementing combat unmanned vehicles into the line-ups of combat divisions and units. They examine not only the field of application, but also the issue of education and training from a long-term perspective. The article hopes to support professional-scientific discussion on this topic and create the theoretical potential for starting the process of preparing and implementing combat UGV.

One of the basic possibilities of orientation in forest stands is the use of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). Today, these systems are used for pedestrian orientation and also for off-road vehicle navigation. This article presents the results of research aimed at measuring the quality of GNSS signal in different types of coniferous and deciduous vegetation for the purpose of optimizing the navigation of off-road vehicles. To determine the structure (density) of the forest stand, tachymetry was chosen as the reference method. The Trimble Geo 7X cm edition device with Tornado for 7X antenna devices using real time VRS (virtual reference station) method was used to measure GNSS signal quality. This article presents the results of recorded numbers of GNSS satellites (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou) during the driving of a terrain vehicle in two different forest locations. Significant presented results include the deviations of vehicle positions determined by GNSS from tachymetrically precisely measured and marked routes along which the vehicle was moving. The authors of the article focused on the accuracy of determining the position of the vehicle using GNNS, as the most commonly used device for off-road vehicle navigation. The measurement results confirmed the assumption that the accuracy of positioning was better in deciduous forest than in coniferous (spruce) or mixed vegetation. This research was purposefully focused on the possibilities of navigation of military vehicles, but the achieved results can also be applied to the navigation of forestry, rescue and other types of off-road vehicles.
