“…Fresh plants materials (buds of black poplar), also called "gemma populy", were collected in early spring from about 12 black poplar trees. These were P. nigra individuals situated around Sapientia Hungarian University, Faculty of Technical and Human Sciences areas (46.5206 • N, 24.6189 • E). The plant materials were first separately dried in a ventilated oven at 45 • C for 24 h. Twenty grams of the dried plant material were then weighed in a 100-mL Erlenmeyer to which 70 mL of hexane (purity grade 99%) were added for pre-extraction.…”
