“…In the HMBC spectrum of 3, the correlations of H-5 with C-4, C-7, and C-9; OMe with C-6, C-7, and C-8; H-15′ with C-1′, C-2′, and C-3; and H-1′ with C-4, C-2, C-14′, and C-3′ confirmed that C-1′ of the sesquiterpene unit was attached to C-3 of the chromone and that the methoxy group was attached to C-7. On the basis of the above analysis, and combined with the 13 C NMR spectral data (δ C-2′ 95.2, δ C-2 167.1, DEPT spectrum indicated both C-2′ and C-2 were quaternary carbons) and the molecular formula of 3, it was deduced that C-2 and C-2′ were linked by an oxygen atom.…”
