“…retrospectively assessed the rate of successful pregnancy in 398 women after UAE; inclusion criteria were <43 years of age, single fibroid >5 cm, multifibroid disease, and/or adenomyosis. Although there was a high loss of follow‐up, they reported 148 successful pregnancies and 109 live births including 74 at term 22 …”

“…Although there was a high loss of follow-up, they reported 148 successful pregnancies and 109 live births including 74 at term. 22 Patients' levels of interest in future pregnancy should be thoroughly explored and considered on an individual basis, with informed consent including advice that the potential for future pregnancy after UAE is currently uncertain. For women who experience subfertility due to fibroids, desire pregnancy, and where surgery is a safe and feasible option, myomectomy may be preferred.…”

“…In our clinical observation, of 34 cases with placental previa, only 4 cases needed emergency UAE to stop bleeding, and 0 case had prenatal bleeding in the control group. At the same time, due to the complications of UAE, [6,[11][12][13] such as severe pain, ovarian failure, irregular menstruation, or impacted fertility, so prophylactic UAE is better choice than emergency UAE after bleeding for high-risk cases. Our study found that the length of placenta over the internal os was a sensitive indicator of prenatal hemorrhage, and the optimal cut-of value for 1.7 cm for the length of placenta over the internal os in diagnosing prenatal hemorrhage demonstrated sensitivity and specificity of 75.0% and 86.7%, respectively, and the ROC area was 0.858.…”

“…[8][9][10] Some researchers have made attempts to use prophylactic UAE to prevent hemorrhage during the termination of mid trimester pregnancy with placenta previa, [6] but the problem is that the overuse of UAE may bring more complications such as severe pain after UAE, ovarian failure, irregular menstruation or affected fertility. [6,[11][12][13] In our study, we retrospectively analyzed the pregnant women with placenta previa who underwent termination of mid-pregnancy in our hospital from January 1st, 2019, to December 31th, 2019, and discussed the labor inducing methods used for them.…”

“… 9 , 10 However, some studies have shown that while achieving good clinical efficacy, UAE also has some complications such as premature ovarian failure and amenorrhea caused by endometrial atrophy (1.23%). 11 A total of 54 patients with uterine scarring were successfully treated with UAE combined with ultrasound-guided hysterectomy, and they were followed up by phone for 5–8 years. A total of 32 patients (59.3%) reported decreased menstruation, among whom 28 (51.9%) reported a mild decrease and 4 (7.4%) reported a significant decrease, while 20 patients (37.0%) reported no change in menstruation.…”
