Abstract: There was a good agreement between Canon TX-10 and GAT in healthy subjects. From the results obtained here, CCT appears to not affect IOP measurements when CCT is thinner than 570 microm.

“…Clinical agreement between the noncontact tonometer and the GAT has been demonstrated in previous studies of normotensive subjects,5,6,29,30 with a propensity for the noncontact tonometer to return about 3 mmHg higher IOP measurements than the GAT7,8,27,28 in subjects with IOPs up to 21 mmHg.…”

“…Overall, both instruments showed good repeatability, with the PT100 noncontact tonometer being more consistent in repeated measurement sessions. Two other studies5,6 have also shown similar repeatability coefficients for the GAT, ±2.5 mmHg 5 and 3.70 mmHg 6 when compared with other noncontact tonometers 5,6…”

“…Studies on normal eyes have demonstrated CoR values ranging from 2.2 mmHg to 9.2 mmHg and 95% limits of agreement ranging from −7.6 mmHg to +14.2 mmHg between various NCTs and GAT [10,[18][19][20][21][22][23]. In general, NCTs tended to over-read the GAT IOP measurements.…”

“…9 The previous generation of the Reichert (Reichert Xpert and Reichert AT550) NCT demonstrated good agreement with GAT in healthy and glaucoma patients. [10][11][12][13][14][15] The R7 uses the same formula as the ORA for measuring the IOP according to the manufacturer.…”
