Clinical characteristics of patients with premature acute coronary syndrome and adverse cardiovascular events after PCI

Abstract: Few studies have compared the clinical manifestations of patients with premature acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and late-onset ACS as well as the adverse cardiovascular events following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with premature ACS and adverse cardiovascular events following PCI, a total of 726 patients with ACS undergoing PCI were divided into two groups: A premature ACS group and a late-onset ACS group. Following discharge, all … Show more

“…A large number of studies have discovered that patients with coronary heart disease are prone to adverse cardiovascular events within 1 year after PCI, which greatly affects the prognosis of patients [ 10 , 11 ]. And the occurrence of adverse cardiovascular events is closely associated with the risk factors of coronary heart disease in addition to their own dietary habits and living habits [ 12 ].…”

“…The lipid metabolism disorder in ACS patients is triggered by the joint action of multiple effector cells and cytokines. 10 In addition, macrophages transformed from monocytes in serum are the initiating cells of plaque formation in ACS. 11 Macrophages phagocytize LDLC and its apolipoprotein ApoB lipid particles and deposits on the vascular endothelium.…”
