“…Cyclization of acid hydrazide Schiff bases 4 a-c with acetic anhydride provided oxadiazole in addition to acylation of NH of oxadiazole compounds 5 a-c. 1 H NMR spectrum showed additional singlet signal at 2.33-2.34 ppm assigned to COCH 3 protons with disappearance of azomethane proton, as well as the exchangeable NH protons.…”

“…Triazol-5-ones / Triazol-5-thione 8 a-c were obtained by refluxing equimolar amounts of the acid hydrazide 3 and appropriate isocyanate or isothiocyanate in absolute ethanol for 24 h. IR spectrum showed a band at 1270 cm À 1 attributed to C=S for compound 8 c. 1 H NMR spectrum showed additional multiplet signals at 6.60-8.10 ppm corresponding to aromatic protons. In addition to a singlet signal at 4.00-4.31 ppm exchanged with D 2 O corresponding to NH protons.…”
