“…Clerodendrum colebrookianum Walp., (Family-Verbenaceae) commonly known as East Indian Glory Bower (English), Kuthap (Manipuri), Phuihong (Naga), Phuinum (Mizo), Shada bhait (Bangla), Nephaphu (Assamese) is a popular folk medicines of north-east India for the treatment of hypertension (Deb and Dutta, 2012;Deb et al, 2011;Devi et al, 2003Devi et al, , 2011Temjenmongla, 2005;Devi and Sharma, 2004;Nath, and Bordoloi, 1991;Mao et al, 1995;Das et al, 2008).
