Classificação Das Cinzas Derivadas Das Biomassas De Abacaxi E Cacau – Grande Oferta No Estado Do Pará – Potencial Uso Como Fertilizante Alternativo

Abstract

The main objective of this work was to evaluate the fertilizing potential of ash derived from pineapple crown (Ananas Comosus) and cocoa pericarp (Theobroma cacao) biomasses, abundant in the state of Pará, through a classification based on chemical composition and acidity type, complemented with a mineralogical characterization and chemical details using XRD, XRF, FTIR, and immediate chemical analysis (moisture, fixed carbon, and ash content). The results revealed that the pineapple crown ash and cocoa pericarp ash have average yields of 6.2 and 8.8 %, respectively, and present favourable chemical composition and acidity for use in soil improvement regarding contribution of nutrients and acidity correction. Both classified as K-type with low acidity. K2O content ~ 51 and 68 %, respectively. In general, there are considerable amounts of: P, Ca, Mg, and S. Finally, according to a current vision of green logistics, the use of ash in local agricultural production points to a good circular economy option in the Amazon, adding value to a second generation residue and still bringing economic and environmental gains.
