Environmental problems need to be solved by students' HOTS abilities. This research aimed to develop environmental learning student's worksheet of air pollution (eswopol) based on Higher Order Thinking Skills Assessment based on Environmental Problems (HOTS-AEP). The research method used research and development that modified from Borg and Gall model. The study was conducted in December 2019 until January 2020. The research instrument used the interview transcript and validation questionnaire. The research data obtained in the form of an average score of validation results. The data analysis technique used is descriptive. The results showed that the environmental learning student's worksheet of air pollution (eswopol) based on HOTS-AEP was declared valid with an average validation score of 3.55 (very valid category). The conclusion of this research is eswopol based on HOTS-AEP is appropriate for use in a learning environment.Permasalahan lingkungan perlu dipecahkan dengan kemampuan HOTS siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan environmental learning student's worksheet of air pollution (eswopol) berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills Assessment based on Environmental Problem (HOTS-AEP). Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengadaptasi model Borg and Gall. Penelitian dilaksanakan Desember 2019 s.d Januari 2020. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu transkrip wawancara dan angket validasi. Data penelitian yang diperoleh berupa skor rata-rata hasil validasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa environmental learning student's worksheet of air pollution (eswopol) berbasis HOTS-AEP dinyatakan valid dengan skor rata-rata validasi 3.55 (kategori sangat valid). Simpulan penelitian ini yaitu eswopol berbasis HOTS-AEP layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran lingkungan.

The current submission is the sequel of a Latin American project on the issue of medicinal flora growth, trade and consumption that was initiated about two decades ago, in 1997. The aim of the research is threefold: i) to offer information about medicinal plant species from tropical environments; ii) to describe best practices in urban and peri-urban sustainable agriculture and forest management projects; and iii) to improve research about the learning processes and fair use of medicinal flora natural resources. Methodology includes an archival investigation into the areas under scrutiny in early colonization times, so as to compare landscape descriptions from the 16th to the 18th century, as well as the use of plant species as food, fuel and for therapeutic applications, with the surveys conducted in our days. The study is a tale of two cities, field researched with a ten-year interval. The first one is Lima, the capital of Peru, within which 8 million metropolitan agglomerations included the port city of Callao in 2006. The second city is Piura, an urban centre of 1,844,100 inhabitants, explored in 2016.Results show an increase in medicinal flora consumption and trade, top ranking chamomile in both urban samples, a surprising fidelity in ten years and two different cities. As to environmental conservation and sustainable practices, results show that species named by the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, and Antonio Ulloa in the 16th and 18th centuries are still available; this gives us hope that the trend of exploitation is sustainable.

A Comparative Analysis of Citizens’ Eco-Awareness between Toyota City in Japan and Neiva City in Colombia

This paper analyzes citizens' eco-awareness between Toyota City in Japan and Neiva City in Colombia. Both cities have been making efforts to promote their eco-policies, which are somewhat similar to each other in areas such as transportation and public welfare and livelihood. To put these policies into practice, civic support is essential. Through survey questionnaires, this study compares citizens' awareness of eco-policies in Toyota City and Neiva City. Findings show that Toyota City outperforms Neiva City in some areas such as forests and the urban center while Neiva outperforms in other areas: transportation and industry. This paper explains possible reasons for these differences and makes suggestions to further promote eco-policies.
