“…e close relationship between the chemical industry and a city (and its population) reflects the global consumption and market orientation of chemical production [4,5]. e economy of cities that rely on chemical and related industries can develop rapidly [6][7][8]. However, the decline in oil production and global oil prices has led cities with chemical industries to diversify their industrial and service activities [6].…”

“…In a traditional linear economy, companies often locate production units near virgin resources to reduce supply, purchase, transportation, and transaction costs (Genc et al, 2020) and gradually expand into industrial parks. The rapid development of industrial parks has accelerated the waste of large amounts of resources and notable environmental pollution.…”

“…Through support mechanisms, it establishes good communication with the public sector and companies in the industrial park on the Internet-based technology service platform to form long-term and stable customer relationships. Business strategies based on the platform can further improve public policies and better meet the needs of stakeholders.4.3 | Industrial parks are important carriers of technology promotionIn a traditional linear economy, companies often locate production units near virgin resources to reduce supply, purchase, transportation, and transaction costs(Genc et al, 2020) and gradually expand into industrial parks. “…In another valuable study recently published by Genc et al (2020); the purpose of this research which is entitled "Circular Eco-Industrial Park design inspired by nature: An integrated non-linear optimization, location, and food web analysis", is to present an innovative design approach for EIPs considering the potential exchange of waste between plants that is potentially deployed in EIPs with the aim of eliminating market side effects and trade dynamics; the use of this integrated method is demonstrated in a scenario analysis for four theoretical EIPs, considering the two construction industries as an anchor industry and two due to the accidental entry of different industries that can exchange waste with the construction industry. The Genc et al study is a basic study that for the first time considers three methods for designing IS networks in the form of EIP (Genc et al 2020).…”
