“…In literature, it has been reported that establishment of Chryseobacterium infection in human beings requires the presence of following three factors: (1) the production of a biofilm on foreign materials, (2) a suitable portal of entry and (3) immunodeficiency. Chryseobacterium spp can cause a myriad of infections including bacteremia/sepsis, ventilator-associated pneumonia, indwelling device-associated infection, urinary tract infections, peritonitis, shunt infections, surgical and burn wound infections 7 9.
