Choline restores respiration in Psd1-deficient yeast by replenishing mitochondrial phosphatidylethanolamine

Abstract: Phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) is essential for mitochondrial respiration in yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae , whereas the most abundant mitochondrial phospholipid, phosphatidylcholine (PC), is largely dispensable.
