“…Due to C-C, C-O, C-H, and O-H stretching vibrations, peaks at 996, 1450, 2972 and 3569 cm −1 appeared in the FTIR spectrum of linalool respectively. After linalool was encapsulated, FTIR spectrum of Lin-nanocapsules showed that the characteristic absorption peaks at 3569 and 1450 cm −1 disappeared, and a peak appeared at 1098 cm −1 due to the phosphoric acid root and the protonation of amino cross linking effect (Papadimitriou et al, 2008). Peak types of Lin-nanocapsules and blank nanocapsules were similar.…”

“…The test bacterium taken from an overnight culture (inoculated from a single colony) was freshly grown for 4 Vancomycin disc was obtained commercially from Himedia and CMC-EDBE-FA nanoparticle discs were prepared according to the standard method [12] . The diameter of zone of bacterial growth inhibition surrounding the disc (including the disc), was measured and compared with vancomycin standard.…”

“…Utilization of CS derived from crustacean shells may cause hypersensitivity reactions in individual with shellfish allergy [2] . Carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC) is a linear polysaccharide composed of 毬 (1,4) glycosidic linkages between 6-carboxymethyl-D-glucosamine monomers. CMC is synthesized from CS by carboxylation of the hydroxyl and amine groups.…”

“…It was explained previously that the intrinsic positive charge on CS nanoparticles led to the increased FPF of nanoparticles with increasing surface charge due to repulsive force among particles that formed loose agglomerates; however, the dispersibility from large carrier based formulation was not in conformity with this argument. Once aerosolised the formulation, the agglomerates may be subjected to kinetic forces due to inspiratory flow and inhaler mechanical impaction forces or a combination of both for appropriate deagglomeration and subsequent dispersion (Al-Qadi et al, 2012;Leung et al, 2015;Papadimitriou et al, 2008). The SEM images in Figure 4.10 showed nanoparticles were distributed either as agglomerates or as a single particle on the large lactose carriers.…”
