Chiral Inorganic mesoporous materials used as the stationary phase in GC

Abstract: Mesoporous materials are promising functional materials due to their properties, such as a large surface area, tunable pore size, structure and morphology. Chiral mesoporous silica is an indispensable part of mesoporous materials. Considering that chirality is rare in inorganic mesoporous materials, there are very few reports on chiral inorganic mesoporous silica for chromatographic separations. In this work, we report the use of chiral inorganic mesoporous silica based on the template of myristyl chloride‐l‐v… Show more

“…Later, it was dried for 5 h in a nitrogen atmosphere at 110 C. Secondly, the chiral derivatives of COF-TpBD (NH 2 ) 2 were coated on pretreated capillary columns using the dynamic coating method. 38,39 Certain quality of chiral derivatives of COF-TpBD (NH 2 ) 2 and OV-1701(quality ratio: 3/7) was added into a certain amount of isopropyl alcohol (the concentration is 4.5 mg/ml) and degassed for 30 min by ultrasound. After the treated liquid was transferred to capillary columns with nitrogen pressure, the nitrogen flow rate was reduced, and it was blow-dried.…”

“…In order to improve the diversity and efficiency of separation, porous materials have been developed as the CSP due to their intriguing structural merits, such as the tunable pore size, large specific surface area, and flexible modification . To date, various emerging materials including carbon nanomaterials, , mesoporous silica, metal organic frameworks, and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) , have been used to construct the CSP for enantioseparation.…”

“…Nevertheless, this analytical method continues to develop, this means that the development and application of GC columns will not stand still. More and more materials are used as stationary phases, introducing new technologies of their manufacturing [2][3][4]. Nowadays nanomaterials are often utilized in analytical and separation sciences [5][6][7].…”
