ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of Tryptophans by Lewis Acid Promoted Ring‐Opening of Aziridine‐2‐carboxylates: Optimization of Protecting Group and Lewis Acid.

Abstract: Lewis Acid. -The process is investigated with different N-protecting groups at the aziridine nitrogen and different Lewis acids. Generally the N-Troc protected derivative (IId) is found to give at least reasonable yields of the desired tryptophan. -(TIROTTA, I.; FIFER, N. L.; EAKINS, J.; HUTTON*, C.
