Abstract:Properties. -The title compounds such as (III), (V), and (VII) are obtained by Knoevenagel condensation under classical, conventional condition, in the presence of a lipase biocatalyst or with a deep eutectic solvent (DES). Best results with respect to product yields and mildness are achieved using lipase and DES. Compounds (III), (V), and (VII) show appreciable in vitro antibacterial activity against E. coli, P. neumoniae, and Micrococcus, and in vitro antifungal activity against A. niger and C. albicans. -(B… Show more
