Abstract:Synthesis and Antitumor Activity of New Polysubstituted Thiophenes and 1,3,4-Thiadiazoles Incorporating 2,6-Pyridine Moieties. -Several new polysubstituted thiophene and thiadiazole derivatives incorporating a 2,6-pyridine moiety are efficiently synthesized using hitherto not reported bis(3-oxopropanethioamide) (III) as key building block. Some of the prepared compounds show better anticancer activities than the reference drug doxorubicin. -(ALI*, K. A.; ABDALGHFAR, H. S.; MAHMOUD, K.; RAGAB, E. A.; J.
