“…The hydrazide groups in the DH molecule are strongly turned relative to the aromatic ring (the C(1)C(2)C(6)O(1) and C(5)C(4)C (7) The orientation of the hydrogen bonds in DH (Fig. 3) sharply differs from the cyclic planar system of hydro gen bonds between two symmetrically arranged ⎯NНNН 2 moieties in isonicotinic acid hydrazide [23], where the hydrazide moiety conformation is close to the planar one with allowance for the pyrami dality of the hydrazine moiety as a whole [24].…”

“…Analysis and comparison of the IR spectra of the polynuclear complexes with the available data [8,11,26] with allowance of the stereochemistry of known metal hydrazide complexes [5,23] show that the coor dination of DH leads to the formation of five mem bered chelate rings in which the hydrazide moiety is in the amide form. The sulfate and nitrate ions are, most likely, in the outer sphere, which is testified by the presence of broad and strong bands of outer sphere ions: ~1100 cm -1 for sulfato and 1380 cm -1 for nitrato complexes [28].…”
