Reactions of N‐sulfonyldiarylchalcogenimides with diaryl ditellurides

“…We have recently reported [7] that N-arenesulfonyl-Te,Te-diaryltellurimides may be reduced quantitatively to diaryl tellurides with diphenyl ditelluride a t room temperature in chloroform in a 1 : 3 ratio. Here, we report the effect of the nature of the chalcogen atom in N-p-tosyldiarylchalcogenimides 1 on their ability to react with diaryl ditellurides, and we discuss a possible mechanism of this reaction.…”
