3‐Acetylthiophen (I), polymerer Formaldehyd (II) und Norephedrin (III) kondensieren zu der Mannich‐ Base (IV), die mit dem 3‐Lithiothiophen (V) umgesetzt das Carbinol (VI) liefert.
