Abstract

Liquid Crystalline Bisphenyl-4,4'-bibenzyldi-thiocarboxylates anddithiocarboxylates, Syntheses and Characterization.-The title compounds (IVa), (IVf) and (VIa) do not show any liquid crystalline behavior indicating that a substituted aromatic group is necessary for this property.
