ChemInform Abstract: Asymmetric Reactions Catalyzed by Chiral Metal Complexes. Part 31. Practical Asymmetric Synthesis of (R)‐(‐)‐Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Catalyzed by (2R,4R)‐MCCPM‐Rhodium Complex.
Abstract:The chiral diphosphines (2S,4S)‐(I), derived from proline, are employed as ligands in the asymmetric hydrogenation of the amino ketone (II), yielding the (S)‐phenylephrine (S)‐(III).
