Abstract

A Simple and Convenient Approach to the Synthesis of Aminofuropyrimidinediones. -A facile and efficient route to the title furopyrimidinediones (17 examples), compounds of potential synthetic and biological interest, is given using one-pot three-component reactions of dimethylbarbituric acid with aromatic aldehydes and isocyanides.
