Abstract:A Chemoselective, Acid-Mediated Conversion of Amide Acetal to Oxazole: The Key Step in the Synthesis of Cardiovascular Drug, Ifetroban Sodium.-An optimized route to the precursor (VIII) of the cardiovascular drug ifetroban sodium is reported.
