Chemical synthesis and magnetic properties of nanocrystalline (La0.67−X Gd X )Sr0.33MnO3 using amorphous molecular alloy as precursors

Abstract: A new route to synthesize nanosized crystalline of (La 0.67-X Gd X )Sr 0.33 MnO 3 (X=0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) perovskite-type complex oxides at calcination temperature of 600-1000 °C using the amorphous molecular alloy as precursors was reported. The precursor could be completely decomposed into complex oxide at temperature below 500 °C according to the TGA and DTA results. XRD demonstrates that the decomposed species is composed of perovskite-type structure at calcination temperature of 600 °C for 2 h. The par… Show more

“…24,25 It is evident from this report that lower calcination temperature produces smaller nanoparticles size, while higher calcination temperature leads to larger particle size and wider particle size distribution. Therefore, the two-step synthesis technique for calcination and annealing is better for obtaining good crystallinity, small particle size, narrow particle size distribution, as well as homogeneity.…”

“…Reports on effects of silica coating on the magnetic properties of nanoparticles showed that magnetization decreased with increasing silica shell thickness. 24,25,31,32 This decrease in saturation magnetization is attributed to the surface spin disorder and silica bonding with metal ions on the particle surface. …”

“…Thus, the development of S-scheme heterojunctions advances the consumption capability of photoinduced e CB − and h VB + and prompts abundant mobile substances for pollutant degradation and H 2 generation. 23 Recently, several binary S-scheme candidates have been documented, including V-BiOIO 3 /FTCN, 24 27 Therefore, it is consequential to develop a ternary S-scheme composite photocatalyst with improved photocatalytic performance.…”

“…For these reasons, the above-mentioned methods are not suited for the mass production of perovskite-type lanthanummanganese oxides. To overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages, (La 0.67Àx Gd x )Sr 0.33 MnO 3 (x ¼ 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) were successfully synthesized by using an amorphous molecular alloy as precursor [10]. In this paper, we analyze the MCE in (La 0.67Àx Gd x )Sr 0.33 MnO 3 compounds.…”
