“…By comparing the NMR data with those reported in the literature, the other known analogues were identified as simiarenol ( 6 ) [9], simiarenone ( 7 ) [10], 24-methylenecycoartanol ( 8 ) [11], cycloartenol ( 9 ) [12], lanosta-7,24-dien-3 β -ol ( 11 ) [13], lanosta-8,24-dien-3 β -ol ( 11 ) [14], and lupeol ( 12 ) [15].…”

“…The peak biomass was reached at a treatment time of 120 h and a concentration of 3 g/L. The results of Liu et al showed that the traditional Chinese medicine red ginseng treated with CA has better anti-fatigue properties and regulates immunity better than untreated varieties due to significant improvement in T-SOD, IL-2, and IgG and a decrease in MDA [ 28 ]. To increase the biomass content of P. igniarius , naphthalene AA and oleic acid were used as exogenous inducers by Zhu et al The authors screened the optimal compounds of media and significantly increased the mass of polysaccharides, causing them to reach the maximum values at concentrations of 0.2 mg/L and 1 g/L, respectively [ 29 ].…”

“…Ancient and modern physicians have used it not only to improve the mental malaise, fatigue, and hypoimmunity of subhealthy individuals but also to treat severe diseases with a sharp decline in immunity, such as malignant tumors. Further study on the molecular mechanism of PG–AM in an immunosuppressed mouse model combining immunology and HPLC–ESI (electrospray ionization)–Q‐TOF–MS–based metabolomics (Liu, 2018a) has indicated that the scientific principle of metabolomics after the compatibility of PG–AM is that the metabolic pathways in the body are more likely to involve sphingolipids and glycerophospholipids and that the metabolism of bone marrow is more conservative than that of plasma. In another study (Liu et al, 2020), accumulating evidence of PG–AL on propafenone hydrochloride–induced acute heart failure rats has indicated that the absorption and bioavailability of four alkaloids, uracil, salsolinol, guanosine, and higenamine, increased and the residence time was prolonged after AL was combined with PG.…”

“…Compared with the traditional product ion scan (PIS)‐based survey scanning strategy, high‐precision MS data can identify ginsenosides more reliably, laying a foundation to classify non‐targeted identification of ginsenosides. In addition, further study on the roots, leaves, and flower buds of PG, PQ, and PN revealed that LTQ–Orbitrap MS coupled to UHPLC could provide an effective analytical strategy to directly and effectively screen modified metabolites (Shi et al, 2018), with potential broad applications in the fields of metabolomics, drug metabolism, and natural product research (Li, 2020). These results will be helpful for the quality evaluation and species certification of ginseng in the future.…”
