“…For the preparation of the glomeruli from the kidneys fixed in formaldehyde, cortical slices (about 2 g) were disrupted on 115-mesh stainless steel sieve of 7.5 cm in diameter and filtered through a 200-mesh sieve positioned under 80-mesh sieve. The glomerular fraction was obtained on the 200-mesh sieve, from which about 1,500 pieces of the glomeruli were picked up and collected at random under a stereomicroscope (Sato et al 1980). The glomeruli of nonfixed kidneys from 3 autopsy subjects were prepared according to the method of Krakower and Greenspon (Krakower and Greenspon 1951).…”
