Artificial vs Human Intelligence in the Educational Process of University
Аннотация. В условиях тотальной цифровизации образования особо острую актуальность для вузов приобретают проблемы, связанные с внедрением технологий искусственного интеллекта (ИИ), а также вопросы, связанные с ролью человека как носителя естественного интеллекта (ЕИ) в образовательном процессе. Усиливающееся проникновение ИИ во многие сферы высшего образования требует взвешенного подхода, рассмотрения всех «за» и «против», оценивания рисков и последствий для человека как субъекта образования. Целью настоящей статьи является сравнительный анализ возможностей ИИ и ЕИ в образовательном процессе вуза. Авторами поставлены и решены следующие задачи: 1) изучить теоретические источники и практический опыт российских вузов в применении ИИ и ЕИ в высшем образовании; 2) изучить понятия «искусственный интеллект» и «естественный интеллект»; 3) выявить преимущества и недостатки ИИ и ЕИ для образовательного процесса в вузе; 4) представить сравнительную характеристику ИИ и ЕИ в образовательном процессе вуза; 5) сделать выводы о перспективах развития ИИ и ЕИ в системе высшего образования. Поставленные задачи решались с помощью методов анализа научной литературы, нормативно-правовых документов, изучения и обобщения передового педагогического опыта, сравнительного анализа. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют о том, что вопросы внедрения технологий ИИ в образовательный процесс вузов являются актуальными для государства и общества. В теории отсутствует единое мнение по поводу определения феномена ИИ, тогда как ЕИ интерпретируется как сумма когнитивных способностей человека. Обзор практики показал широкий спектр применимости технологий ИИ в вузах: от автоматизации рутинных задач до создания иммерсивной образовательной среды. Сравнительный анализ возможностей ИИ и ЕИ проводился по следующим параметрам: обработка и анализ больших данных, адаптивное обучение, интерактивность, обратная связь, творческое мышление и критическое мышление, комплексность задач, этика и мораль, эмоциональное общение, объективность оценки. Анализ показал, что ИИ и ЕИ применительно к высшему образованию имеют как свои преимущества, так и недостатки. Перспективным сценарием развития системы высшего образования под влиянием технологий ИИ будет интеграция ИИ и ЕИ, которая открывает новые возможности для человека в Образовании 4.0.Ключевые слова: интеллект, искусственный интеллект, естественный интеллект, образовательный процесс вуза

A matrix of artificial intelligence tools in pre-service foreign language teacher training
Importance. The modern stage of information and technological development of civilization is characterised by the dynamic emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and the development of tools based on them, which are being more and more introduced into various spheres of life. The education system in general, and foreign language education in particular, is no exception. Currently, there are several dozen AI tools that are actively used by students and teachers in the development of foreign language communicative skills and the development of language skills. There is a rather voluminous body of research in the academic literature devoted to the disclosure of the language teaching potential of modern AI tools. However, most of the studies are of a pilot nature. The focus of scholars’ attention is on particular methods for the development of students’ communicative skills or the development of certain language skills based on individual AI tools. The systematic consideration of the integration of AI technologies into the process of teaching foreign language majoring students – future foreign language teachers – linguistic and teaching methods training has not been the subject of a special study. The purpose of this study is to develop a matrix of AI tools used in the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers.Materials and Methods. The study is conducted on the basis of the expert assessment method, which allows to: a) identify the language teaching potential, as well as the limitations of the most common AI tools; b) summarise and classify the available knowledge in the form of a matrix of AI tools used in the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers. The materials of the study were research articles, published in Russian and foreign academic journals, indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.Results and Discussion. A matrix of AI tools in the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers has been developed. The matrix is presented according to six types of feedback from generative AI used in foreign language teaching and teaching methods. The following are the main and most accessible AI tools for teachers and students providing feedback of each type: a) Replika, LingvoBot, Multitran_bot, Slavaribot, WorldContextBot, ChatGPT, Google Assistant, EGEEnglish.ru (educational and social feedback); b) ChatGPT, YandexGPT and GigaChat (information and reference feedback); c) ChatGPT 4.0, YandexGPT, GigaChat, Twee (methodological feedback); d) ChatGPT, YandexGPT, GigaChat, Turnitin, software “Antiplagiat” (analytical feedback); e) Grammarly, PaperRater, Pigai, ChatGPT 4.0, YandexGPT, GigaChat, Criterion (assessment and evaluative feedback); f) ChatGPT, YandexGPT, GigaChat, AI Poem Generator, Midjourney, Suno, Sora, Runway (conditionally creative feedback).Conclusion. The novelty of the research consists in the development of a matrix of AI tools in the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers. The prospects for further research lie in the development of teaching methods for aspects of language, types of speech activity, as well as specialised disciplines based on specific AI tools. In their entirety, these particular methods will enable the creation of an integrated system of linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers based on AI tools.
Artificial Intelligence and Immersive Technologies in Higher Pedagogical Education
The purpose of the study. The problem of using the capabilities of artificial intelligence and immersive technologies in educational programs is being updated. The article is devoted to the analysis of the role, functions and significance of artificial intelligence and immersive learning technologies in the development of an open educational environment and its personal segments formed by subjects of educational relations in the process of preparing graduates of pedagogical universities to change the conditions of modern society. The possibilities of Generative Pretrained Transformers (GPT) and virtual reality in its various manifestations (AR, VR, AVR) are discussed. Their influence on the formation of the personal educational environment of graduates of pedagogical universities is shown.Materials and methods. The method of comparative analysis of scientific publications in the field of artificial intelligence development, immersive learning technologies, and the formation of a personal educational environment is used. The capabilities of a number of GPT services have been experimentally tested. The ideas about the role and functions of new resources in improving the educational process are summarized. The forecast of the integration of artificial intelligence and immersive technologies in pedagogical education is given.The results of the study. It is shown that Generative Pretrained Transformers are able to implement reference and encyclopedic, constructive and creative, analytical, control and training functions in the educational process while observing the ethics of their application. The connection between the development of artificial intelligence and the appearance in the global information network of virtual characters imitating human appearance and behavior in various contexts, and anthropomorphic robots capable of communicating with humans for educational purposes is indicated. Attention is drawn to the inclusion of new means of communication with artificial intelligence in the personal educational environment of the lecturer, which provides him/her with a combination of the functions of a supplier and at the same time a consumer of knowledge. The prospects of the emergence of virtual and anthropomorphic pedagogical agents with artificial intelligence in the education system and in informal communications are assessed. The educational possibilities of augmented reality, virtual reality and augmented virtual reality as means of immersive learning technologies are defined. The pedagogical and technological conditions for the safe use of immersive learning technologies are given. It is noted that the creation of personal educational environments with components of artificial intelligence and immersive technologies makes it possible to organize the processes of teaching and self-education of a lecturer, ensuring the subjective nature of his/her personal and professional growth and mobility in a complicated world.Conclusion. The conclusion is made that the creativity of innovative lecturers, which is visible in their open educational environments, is a resource for overcoming the reproductive nature of the functioning of pre-trained neural networks. The authors believe that positive feedback in the joint evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and personal segments of the open educational space will contribute to the transformation of the existing information society into a learning society. This makes it possible to form a system of open meta-education according to the needs of each individual.
