“…Esto indica que la aplicación de abono líquido bajo un sistema de producción familiar es una alternativa que tiene potencial para incrementar el rendimiento del maíz y evitar el efecto negativo que causa el estiércol de ganado al llegar al agua, en donde se descompone y consume el oxígeno disuelto pudiendo matar por asfixia a peces y otros animales menores (Kumar et al, 2013). El efecto positivo del abono líquido (20 -60%) en el rendimiento se puede explicar de dos maneras (i) el abono aplicado directamente al follaje proporciona nutrientes y metabolitos secundarios producto de la digestión anaeróbica de los microorganismos presentes en el estiércol del ganado (Das et al, 2017) y (ii) el abono líquido que llega al suelo promueve la actividad microbiana nativa, permite el reciclaje de nutrientes y mejora las propiedades químicas del suelo (Eghball et al, 2004;Epelde et al, 2018). En ambas explicaciones, es probable la interacción del maíz con microorganismos nativos que tienen la capacidad de inducción de resistencia o promoción de crecimiento de plantas como reportado por Gond et al (2015) y Lobo et al (2019) en el cultivo de maíz, respectivamente.…”
