“…The band at 2,927.76 cm −1 reflected the weak anti‐symmetrical C–H stretching vibration (Chen et al, ; You, Yin, Zhang, & Jiang, ). Band at 1,640.67 cm −1 was the bonded water's characteristic absorption and demonstrated the N–H of primary amine (Wang et al, ). The band at 1,398.47 cm −1 was corresponded to the C–H bending vibration (Jin et al, ).…”

“…It has been demonstrated that low or moderate molecular‐weight polysaccharides have stronger hydrogen‐donating ability, thus exhibiting better antioxidant activities (Ren et al, ). In addition, the high contents of arabinose and uronic acid are beneficial for the antioxidant activity of polysaccharides (Wang, Zhu, et al, ). Therefore, DFHRP‐1 had stronger antioxidant activity, which may be attributed to its higher content of arabinose and uronic acid, and moderate molecular weight.…”

“…Natural polysaccharides are widely used in the food and biomedicine fields due to their various functional and biological properties. Many previous studies showed that the functional and biological properties of polysaccharides are greatly affected by their molecular weight, monosaccharide composition, glycosidic bonds, polymerization, and conformation (Wang et al, ; Wang, Zhu, et al, ). Among these factors, molecular weight of native polysaccharides greatly influenced the functional and biological activities of polysaccharides (Xu et al, ).…”

“…Splenocyte proliferation is a crucial event in the activation cascade of both cellular and humoral immune responses. Immunomodulatory effect of the PEPW80-1 was investigated, and the results showed that PEPW80-1 could significantly induce lymphocyte proliferation at a low concentration (25 μg/mL), which is greater than the polysaccharides from the swollen culms of Zizania latifolia (200 and 400 μg/mL) (44).…”
