Characterising WIMPs at a future e + e − linear collider

Abstract: We investigate the prospects for detecting and measuring the parameters of WIMP dark matter in a model independent way at the International Linear Collider. The signal under study is direct WIMP pair production with associated initial state radiation e + e − → χχγ. The analysis accounts for the beam energy spectrum of the ILC and the dominant machine induced backgrounds. The influence of the detector parameters are incorporated by full simulation and event reconstruction within the framework of the ILD detecto… Show more

“…Projects that are currently in progress deal with the radiative production of neutralinos at the ILC [33], the measurement of SUSY CP phases at the LHC [34], the determination of chargino and neutralino properties at the ILC [35] as well as a complete cartography of the edge structures and spin measurements within the decay chains at the LHC [36]. Further projects deal with the implementation of extended GUT-or string-inspired supersymmetric models within WHIZARD to study their phenomenology [38].…”

“…In the context of collider searches, EFTs have been widely used to study the monojet [50][51][52][53][54][55][56] and mono-photon [57][58][59][60][61][62][63] final states. Of course, at LHC energies the contact operator approximation may break down if the particle mediating dark sector-SM interactions has a mass around or below the typical partonic center of mass energies of the LHC [54,[64][65][66][67][68][69].…”

“…Studies on DM signatures at hadron colliders have been performed by many authors [1-3, 8-23, 28-38]. On the other hand, future high energy e + e − colliders, such as ILC, CEPC, and TLEP, can also be good places to probe DM signatures [7,[24][25][26][27][39][40][41].…”
