However, this care is often focused on a biologic model, not valuing the sociocultural factors involved in the health/disease process (3)(4)(5)(6) . In order to provide comprehensive care for patients with chronic skin lesions, the nurse must take into account, in addition to the biological factors, the biopsychosocial factors that may be affected, both in the sick person and in their social network, since the effects of this lesion are multifaceted and reach the family nucleus as well.…”
