“…We evaluated whether LV diastolic dysfunction is associated with risk factors of MACCE. Previous studies have reported that HF and LV systolic dysfunction were poor prognosis factors in patients with LEAD [7,8]. In the current study, MACCE, death, and hospitalization for HF occurred more frequently in patients with LV diastolic dysfunction than those without.…”

“…Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in patients with LEAD. A previous study reported that HF was more the cause of cardiovascular death than myocardial infarction in patients with LEAD [7]. Therefore, LV diastolic dysfunction that causes HF is considered a risk factor of cardiovascular death.…”

“…Clinical measurement methods in the Toma-Code registry have been previously published 8 ) . Briefly, demographic, laboratory, and procedural data were collected from each patient's hospital chart or from database by independent researchers according to predetermined definitions, and the independent study office collectively managed all data.…”

“…We used data from the Tokyo-taMA peripheral vascular intervention research COmraDE (TOMA-CODE) registry that prospectively enrolled consecutive patients with PAD who required endovascular revascularization for all indications (CLI, IC, and acute limb ischemia). Details about the TOMA-CODE registry have been described elsewhere [11]. In brief, the TOMA-CODE registry is a multicenter prospective registry that included more than 2000 consecutive patients with lower extremity PAD who underwent endovascular revascularization in Japan from August 2014 to August 2016.…”
