“…The patterns of all NCs generally have the same behavior as CPA. The existence of the crystalline peak at 26° with higher intensity in NCs is due to the overlapping of CPA and graphitic materials which appear at CNMs, and this will result in an enhancement of long‐range conjugation and denotes improvement of π ‐ π interchain‐stacking 60‐61 . The appearance of these peaks is ascribed to the formation of the core‐shell structure of CNMs ‐CPA, and this is compatible with SEM and TEM analysis as we will see later.…”

“…Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are one of the most used supporting materials for PANI, created by coating PANI on its surface as core/shell nanocomposites in order to improve the cycling stability of PANI. With the pristine CNTs as support, the cycling stability of PANI is far from desirable [ 13 , 14 ], although it was higher than the pure PANI materials. However, the specific capacitance retention could achieve about 90% when the functionalized CNTs were used [ 15 , 16 ], mainly due to the interaction between PANI and the functionalized CNTs.…”

“…The presence of a crystalline peak in all NCs at approximately 26˚with a higher intensity is due to the overlapping peaks of CPA and graphitic materials in the OXCNMs. Consequently, this enhances longrange conjugation and improves π-π inter chain stacking [26,27]. In addition, the appearance of these peaks indicates the formation of the core-shell structure of the CPA-OXCNMs, as evidenced by the SEM image.…”
