“…Daphnids, however, can easily be replaced in the diet of Chinook and chum yearlings and fry and are not among the top 5 types of prey items for coho, sockeye, or pink salmon (Higgs et al ). Other key prey items, such as amphipods, copepods, other species of crustaceans, and insects are much less sensitive to methyl parathion (Muncy and Oliver ; Butler ; Yasuno et al ; Eisler , ; Albaugh ; Apperson et al ; Cheah et al ; Mayer and Ellersieck ; Reddy et al ; Reddy and Rao ; Mayer ; Nichiuchi and Hashimoto ).
