Abstract: ResumoDevido à localização estratégica em relação às rodovias federais e estaduais e aos incentivos fiscais, o município de Feira de Santana, na Bahia, sempre atraiu indústrias, tornando-se importante polo industrial. “…A contaminação por metais pesados (MP), ou seja, substâncias em concentração nociva ao ser humano (NASS, 2002), é um dos principais problemas ambientais no mundo (CHEN; SHEN;LI, 2004).
