ResumoO objetivo deste trabalho foi testar a capacidade torremediadora de uma macró ta aquática, para remoção de chumbo. As macró tas foram submetidas à exposição do metal nas concentrações de 3,0; 6,0 e 9,0 mg.L-1, por 10 dias, e em seguida elas foram submetidas a análises químicas. A planta apresentou capacidade de bioacumulação, acumulando em sua raiz uma concentração considerável de chumbo, maior que nas partes aéreas. Além disso, nenhuma parte da planta morreu durante o experimento, demonstrando resistência ao chumbo e capacidade de acumulação do mesmo.Palavras-chave: Poluição ambiental. Chumbo. Macró tas. Salvinia sp.Abstract e objective of this work was to test the phytoremediative capacity of an aquatic macrophyte for the removal of lead. e macrophytes were submitted to exposure of the metal at concentrations of 3, 6 and 9 mg.L-1 for 10 days, and then chemical analyses were performed. e plant presented a bioaccumulation capacity, accumulating, in its root, a considerable concentration of lead, greater than in the aerial parts.
