Características físico-químicas da laranja-pera em função da posição na copa

Abstract

RESUMO -O objetivo foi avaliar as características físico-químicas dos frutos colhidos em diferentes posições da copa de laranjeiras 'Pera'. A copa foi dividida em três alturas (basal, intermediária e apical), dois lados (lados opostos da copa, voltados para as entrelinhas -leste e oeste) e duas posições (periferia e 30 cm para o interior da copa). A colheita dos frutos ocorreu em 09-07-09. Os frutos da periferia da copa apresentaram maiores valores de massa fresca, diâmetro longitudinal, diâmetro transversal, espessura do flavedo, teor de sólidos solúveis, índice de maturação e coloração da casca mais amarela que os frutos da parte interna da copa. Quanto às concentrações de vitamina C e acidez titulável, os frutos colhidos da periferia da copa foram os que continham menores concentrações. Em relação à altura da copa, observou-se que, nos frutos colhidos na parte apical da copa, a massa fresca e o diâmetro longitudinal foram maiores do que nos colhidos da parte basal. Nos frutos voltados para a face oeste, verificaram-se os maiores teores de sólidos solúveis e índice de maturação. Termos para indexação: amostragens, Citrus sinensis, ponto de colheita. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF 'PÊRA' ORANGE FROM DIFFERENT POSITIONS OF THE CANOPYABSTRACT-The aim of this work was to evaluate the physical and chemical characteristics of fruit harvested from different positions of the canopy of 'Pêra' orange tree. The canopy was divided into three heights (basal, intermediate and apical), two sides (opposite to the canopy, toward the inter rows -East and West) and two positions (periphery and 30 cm into the inner part of the canopy). Harvest was made on July 9 th , 2009. Fruit in the periphery of the canopy presented greatest values of fresh mass, longitudinal diameter, transversal diameter and thickness of flavedo, content of soluble solids, maturation index and yellower coloration of the peel than the fruits in the inner part of the canopy. Concerning concentrations of C vitamin and titratable acidity, fruits collected from the periphery of the canopy were the ones with the lowest concentrations. For height of the canopy, fruit collected from the apical part of the canopy presented greatest fresh mass and longitudinal diameter than fruit collected form the basal part. It was verified greatest contents of soluble solids and maturation in the fruit turned to the West face.
