“…Violence is now well known to be the main factor explaining shifts into homelessness among women and girls (Gaetz et al, 2013). On ne saurait négliger l'importance des facteurs politiques et économiques de l'itinérance, mais il nous faut aussi découvrir comment l'individu peut, par-delà ceux-ci, développer sa marge de manoeuvre, s'approprier ses actes et exercer un contrôle suffisant sur son environ-nement pour éventuellement éviter cette situation ou y échapper (Laberge et al, 2000).
