The internal points method (IPM-Carvalho), with regression analysis, can generate an efficient hybrid model for estimating oat grain productivity. We tested a combination of the internal points method and regression to estimate straw productivity. We also applied this methodology to forecast a harvest index in the elaboration of a hybrid model to estimate oat grain productivity, taking into account nitrogen management and growth regulator use, with biological and environmental indicators. Simulation of oat yield as a function of nitrogen and growth regulator applications, with biological and environmental inputs, can assist in the development of more efficient and sustainable management for this crop. Two experiments were conducted during 2013, 2014, and 2015; one was used to quantify biomass yield and the other to determine grain yield and plant lodging. The experimental design was randomized blocks with four replications in a 4 x 3 factorial scheme in the sources of variation, which were growth regulator (0, 200, 400 and 600 mL ha -1 ) and nitrogen (30, 90 and 150 kg ha applications. The environmental parameters that were included were rainfall and maximum air temperature. The nitrogen was applied as urea at the expanded fourth leaf stage. The harvest index was obtained by regression as a function of the growth regulator doses. The combination of the internal points method to estimate straw productivity with the use of regression in the forecast of the harvest index proved to be a useful model for estimating oat grain productivity based on biological and environmental parameters, together with nitrogen and growth regulator applications.

In Brazil, there is a low diversification of the citrus species used, which makes crops very vulnerable to diseases. As the Citrus tristeza virus (CTV) is endemic in Brazil, it is possible to select CTV-resistant hybrid varieties for its control. In this work, we evaluated the reaction of lemon trees and their hybrids to natural infection by CTV isolates in Cruz das Almas, in the Reconcavo Baiano region. Volkamerian lemon tree (VKLT), Cravo lemon tree (CLT), Palm orange tree (POT), Valencia orange tree (VOT), Sunki mandarin tree (SMT), Swingle citrumelo tree (SCT) and Trifoliate orange tree (TOT) were used as parents. VKLT x CLT, VKLT x POT, VKLT x VOT, SMT x (CLT x TOT) and CLT x SCT hybrids were produced. These were kept in the field, being evaluated as for stem pitting intensity when aged between four and seven years. The crosses that provided a higher percentage of CTV-resistant hybrids were CLT x SCT, VKLT x CLT and SMT x (CLT x TOT). On the other hand, the crosses between VKLT and POT, VKLT and VOT showed a higher percentage of susceptible hybrids. In this work, CTVresistant lemon hybrids were generated. The information will allow to direct new crosses of lemon, aiming to obtain hybrids with a higher level of tristeza resistance.

A B S T R A C TThe study was conducted in a greenhouse at the Agricultural Research Corporation of Rio Grande do Norte (EMPARN), in order to evaluate the effect of biofertilizers and potassium phosphate rocks, triple superphosphate (TSP) and potassium chloride (KCl), crushed rocks on the chemical properties of the soil and performance of the bacteria Paenibacillus polymyxa in the absorption of macronutrients by the cowpea bean crop. An Ultisol (10 kg per pot) was used with the addition of biofertilizers at levels 40, 70, 100 and 200% of recommendation for TSP and KCl, inoculated or not with bacteria. There was an effect of fertilization on the absorption of macronutrients, being the best results for P and K with TSP + KCL, and N, Ca and Mg for the biofertilizers. In the chemical properties of the soil, the pH was lower in biofertilizers of higher levels, but it was better especially with its addition to P (BPK200). For Ca it was better with TSP + KCl, and Mg with pure rock. The P. polymyxa did not influence in absorption of elements by the plant. The biofertilizers and rocks could satisfy the nutrient needs of the plants by making them potential for sustainable agriculture.Biofertilizantes e performance do Paenibacillus na absorção de macronutrientes pelo feijão caupi e fertilidade do solo R E S U M O O trabalho foi conduzido em casa de vegetação, na Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária do Rio Grande do Norte (EMPARN) para avaliar o efeito de biofertilizantes de rochas potássica e fosfatadas, superfosfato triplo (SFT) e cloreto de potássio (KCl), rochas moídas nas propriedades químicas do solo e no desempenho da bactéria Paenibacillus polymyxa na absorção de macronutrientes na cultura do feijão caupi. Utilizaram-se 10 kg de um Argissolo Amarelo Distrófico por vaso com adição dos biofertilizantes nos níveis 40, 70, 100 e 200% da recomendação para SFT e KCl, inoculados ou não com a bactéria. Houve efeito da fertilização na absorção dos macronutrientes sendo os melhores resultados para P e K com SFT+KCL, e N, Ca e Mg para os biofertilizantes. Nas propriedades químicas do solo o pH foi mais reduzido nos biofertilizantes de maiores níveis porém melhorando com sua adição especialmente para P (BPK200). Para Ca foi melhor com o SFT+KCl, e para Mg rocha pura. O P. polymyxa não influenciou na absorção dos elementos na planta. Os biofertilizantes e as rochas supriram a necessidade de nutrientes das plantas revelando-se como potencial para uma agricultura sustentável.
