Calculation of Oscillator Strength in the Sc I‐Spectrum

Abstract: The oscillator strengths of the main transition from the 3d 45 4p-states to the groundstate 3d Asz of Sc I are calculated on using wave functions derived by diagnolization of the interaction matrix elements of the 3d 49 4p-, 3d2 4p-and 4.9 4pconfigurations. The relevant dipole matrix elements are reduced by application of tensor algebra to the unknown one-electron matrix elements <4811r[\+> and <3dl[r[(4p>.
