Calculation methodology of reinforced concrete elements based on calculated resistance of reinforced concrete

Abstract: Abstract. Calculation methodology of reinforced concrete elements based on the calculated resistance of reinforced concrete is presented. The basic dependence which allows setting the strength of bending sections and noncentral compressed elements is obtained. The proposed method for calculating reinforced concrete elements is based on the use of nonlinear diagrams of material deformation, the hypothesis of flat sections and deformation criteria for the destruction of materials. The basic equations of strength… Show more

“…Some prerequisites for calculation were used on the basis of the assumptions of the calculation, which are set out in the provisions of the current norms [1,2,3], other ones were proposed by the authors for the first time. Below are the calculated analytical dependencies for solving the problems of checking the strength and selection of the section of the SRSIP (rigid reinforcement) of the normal section of the bending SRC element, which was obtained as a result of numerical solutions [7,8,9].…”

“…For a high-quality calculation of RC structures, it is necessary to consider the nonlinear properties of materials and the deformation criteria for the exhaustion of the bearing capacity [28]. The same requirements apply to the calculation of constructions on the shear.…”

“…Then, using these dependences, one can integrate them in algorithms for numerical calculations of structures made of brittle, structurally heterogeneous materials similar to concrete Zemlyak et al, 2019). A lot of studies review concrete break and cracking as well as drawing deformation diagrams (Balan et al, 2001;Belyaev et al, 2017;Filatov & Suvorov, 2016;Karpenko et al, 2015;Kochkarev & Galinska, 2017;Prado & Mvan Mier, 2003).…”
