BUMBAS E TAMBORES NUM CIRCUITO TRANSLOCAL: notas sobre a construção translocal do patrimônio cultural do Maranhão

Abstract

Frequentemente, a construção de dois dos mais significativos patrimônios culturais característicos do Maranhão, o bumba-meu-boi e o tambor de mina, tem sido relacionada a processos históricos e sociais domésticos e locais. Nesta comunicação, salienta-se que, pelo menos desde fins do século XIX, o banco de símbolos e práticas que institui os bumbas e o tambor de mina vem sendo gestado translocalmente: a circulação de ideais, objetos e sujeitos tem rompido as fronteiras geográficas do Maranhão e do Brasil, e este processo tem sido fundamental para as transformações da cultura local.Palavras-chave: Bumba-meu-boi, tambor de mina, culturas translocais.BUMBAS AND DRUMS IN A TRANSLOCAL CIRCUIT: notes on the translocal construction of cultural heritage of Maranhão Abstract: Frequently, the construction of two of the most significant cultural heritage characteristic of Maranhão, bumbameu-boi and tambor de mina, have been related to historical and social processes domestic and local.
