Brewster Anomaly in Fibonacci and Thue-Morse Dielectric Multilayers

Abstract: We calculate the transmission coefficient of electromagnetic waves for any angle of incidence and for s and p polarizations in dielectric Fibonacci and Thue-Morse sequences. For p polarization we found the Brewster anomaly in all cases considered. From the behavior of the transmission coefficient, we deduce that Thue-Morse sequences are more aperiodic than Fibonacci sequences.
