Breast implant extrusion related to Herpesviridae

Abstract: HighlightsWound infection may be a serious complication of Herpesviridae infection.Wound dehiscence is a rare complication of late infection.Risk factors for recurrent herpes zoster include age (>40 years old) and immunosuppressed states.Risk factors for wound infection include age and immunosuppressed states.Patients at risk of infection with a prosthetic breast implant should be followed up regularly and for recurrent infection along the surgical site. They must be treated early to prevent loss of an implant. Show more
