Introduction: Minimally Invasive Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (MI-TLIF) is an effective treatment for patients with degenerative lumbar spinal disease. This modality was devised to reduce approach-related morbidity and complications of open TLIF. Materials and methods: In this report, we describe a unique case of a 40-year-old woman who developed contralateral lumbar plexopathy one day after the MI-TLIF procedure. Results: Postoperative Computed Tomography (CT) and MRI showed a left L4 transverse process fracture compressing the psoas muscle, and the lumbosacral fascia and erector spinae muscles were displaced forward. We performed fractured left L4 transverse process bone fragment removal to decompress the psoas muscle and correct the original place of the left lumbar fascia and erector spinae muscles. One month after reoperation, the patient had gradual alleviation of pain; leg weakness also recovered enough to enable locomotion. Conclusions: In our case, MI-TLIF relieved lower back and right leg pain. However, the patient developed left radicular leg pain with weakness. There was displacement of the lumbosacral fascia and erector spinae muscles. These problems induced displacement of the psoas muscle with compression, which resulted in lumbar plexopathy. If skin incisions are not enough to carry further down through the subcutaneous tissue and the underlying fascia, displacement of both the left lumbosacral fascia and erector muscles can occur while inserting the pedicle screws. Therefore, it is important to make an incision from the skin to the underlying fascia and surgical corridors to insert the pedicle screws during MI-TLIF. In the upper portion of the body, the brachial plexus is a complex anatomical structure. The reorganization of efferent motor fibers from the various spinal cords to the several lateral branches directed to the upper limb muscles is possible thanks to this "network" of sensory nerves. The brachial plexus also arranges the corresponding data from the various areas cut off from the upper leg by separate spinal nerves. While severe brachial plexus damage is an unusual clinical and medical condition, it has had serious effects on upper leg motor and nerve function. The brachial plexus can be seriously injured in some sports, such as martial arts, with only intermittent effects and complete recovery. A cornerstone of the examination of athletes with brachial plexus fractures is clinical examination. Magnetic resonance imaging and high-frequency ultrasound are examples of electro diagnostic experiments and thought methods that may aid in identifying the lesion, determining suitable care, and determining a successful prognosis. Depending on the extent of injury, a number of maintenance and surgical procedures may be used, as well as a variety of recovery services to help the athlete return to their full degree of operation.Review the different types of brachial plexus injuries. •Describe the signs and symptoms of a brachial plexus injury. •Write a summary of a patient's brachial plexus damage examination. •Describe why improved care coordination across multinational professional teams is critical. • To evaluate the correct and advanced direction of surgical care, the practicing physician should use anatomical technology in the clinical presentation and successfully use radiographic and electro diagnostic tests. With a greater understanding of this condition and its structure, the prospects for patients with brachial plexus injuries will begin to improve.

Background. The modern concept of quality of life research creates opportunities for studying various aspects of patients’ lives, assessing the patient’s condition in dynamics and raises new questions about developing further approaches to a comprehensive assessment of the quality of life of patients with various neurological pathologies, in our case, the patients with post-traumatic neuropathy and plexopathies. Materials and methods. Seventy-three men with neuropathies and plexopathies were examined, who were divided into two groups. Group I included 44 patients with post-traumatic neuropathy and plexo-pathy. The second (control) group included 29 patients with compression-ischemic neuropathies and plexopathies without manifestations of chronic neuropathic pain. Patients underwent clinical and neurological examination, electroneuromyography, ultrasound. DN4 and PainDetect questionnaires were used to determine the neuropathic nature of the pain, and a visual analog scale was used to assess pain severity. The quality of life was assessed according to the MOS SF-36 questionnaire. Results. The study showed a significant reduction in the quality of life of patients with post-traumatic neuropathy and plexopathy accompanied by chronic neuropathic pain. The quality of life of patients compared to the control group is significantly lower on the scales of physical functioning, role functioning due to physical condition, the intensity of pain, mental health. In both groups, patients with neuropathies and plexopathies according to the MOS SF-36 questionnaire had reduced quality of life. In group I, chronic neuropathic pain was diagnosed in 32 patients (72.7 %). The indicators of pain corresponded to VAS 7.85 ± 1.52 points, according to the questionnaire DN4 — 7.83 ± ± 1.06, PainDetect Test — 23.20 ± 3.55.
