“…Platinum-based chemotherapies are still the standard first-line chemotherapy regimen for many solid tumors, including BC. Nedaplatin is a cisplatin analogue that has been approved in Japan for cancer treatment. , Compared to cisplatin, nedaplatin exerts less toxic side effects, namely, nephrotoxicity and gastrointestinal toxicity, and overcomes cisplatin resistance. The nedaplatin-based chemotherapeutic regimen was well tolerated and effectively enhanced the quality of life of BC patients. , However, nedaplatin (ND) resistance and its substantial toxic reactions considerably hamper its worldwide acceptance .…”

“…Particle size can directly affect the delivery of drugs, where the size of particles can influence bioavailability, tissue targeting, and therapeutic outcomes. The equation for Particle Size offers a comprehensive understanding of how the factors DSPC/CHOL (Factor A), Lipid/MTX (Factor B), and DSPE-PEG-FOL concentration (Factor C) influence particle size in the formulation [19]. Factor A, representing the DSPC/CHOL ratio, has a positive linear effect, indicating that higher levels of DSPC/CHOL lead to larger particle sizes.…”

“…The Bcl-2 family of proteins, which include both pro-apoptotic members like Bax that increase mitochondrial permeability and anti-apoptotic members like Bcl-2 that block their effects or prevent the release of cyt c from mitochondria, play a major role in mediating the mitochondrial apoptotic process. 82,83 In the current study, the investigated treatments (Cr, CuO NPs, and Cr@CuO NPs) were provided to the cells at the estimated IC 50 for 48 h. Then, RT-qPCR was performed to determine the relative gene expression of the pro-apoptotic (Bax) and anti-apoptotic (Bcl-2) genes, as well as the tumor suppressor gene (p53) that regulates their activity. The assay aimed to provide further insights and a deeper description of our apoptotic ndings at the molecular level.…”
