Intramedullary fat necrosis, polyarthritis and panniculitis with pancreatic tumor: a case report

“…MRI typically shows bone marrow abnormalities, consisting of diminished signal intensity on T1‐weighted images and areas of decreased signal intensity in a region of overall increased signal intensity on T2‐weighted images. Bone scan shows areas of increased radiotracer uptake 11 . The characteristics of radiologic abnormalities with intramedullary fat necrosis on radiographs, bone scanning or MRI are nonspecific and can be similar to changes seen in malignant metastatic lesions, osteonecrosis, infarcts and osteomyelitis.…”
